How would you feel if you were discriminated against for your religion? You would not very happy, right? Well that is exactly Jewish people felt during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was a very difficult time for Jewish people and threatened their safety.
The Holocaust began when Hitler became the chancellor of Germany after World War I. Hitler decided to attack Jewish people because he was anti-Semitic. This means that he did not like people who practiced the Jewish religion. Hitler and the Nazi party sent Jewish people to go to concentration camps where they were either killed or forced to work. There were about 20,000 concentration camps. Finally, the Jewish people were freed from concentration camps at the end of World War II. Around 11 million people died during the Holocaust. During World War II, Jewish people were forced to face the Holocaust. This time was a very scary time for them. The Holocaust was a tragic point in history. |
